Dr. Paola Porrone, D.C.
Dr. Paola Porrone Birch, DC, CFMP, BCN, FIBFN-CND
Dr. Paola Porrone Birch was raised in Leamington, Ontario, Canada, by immigrant parents from Italy, where she learned the values of hard work, family, and community. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Windsor and Brock University before pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic at Parker University in Dallas, Texas. There she met her husband, Dr. Robert Birch, and the two graduated together in 2003. They have since built both a practice and a family, raising two children while dedicating their lives to helping others achieve better health.
From the beginning of her career, Dr. Paola has been a lifelong learner with a deep commitment to continued education. While her training spans many areas of healthcare, she has always gravitated toward neurology and its profound effects on the human body and brain. Her focused studies include pediatric functional neurology, functional medicine, dry needling, acupuncture, and auriculotherapy. She completed her dry needling certification in 2010, acupuncture in 2011, and became a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) in 2014.
In 2008, Dr. Paola turned her primary focus to neurology and brain training, immersing herself in the growing field of neurofeedback. She became Board Certified in Neurofeedback (BCN) in 2014, allowing her to provide advanced therapies for patients seeking to improve brain performance, regulate mood, and recover from neurological challenges. In 2020, she added certification in Nasal Release Technique (NRT), a powerful method used to help patients suffering from chronic sinus problems, headaches, concussions, breathing issues, and post-traumatic head injuries.
Her dedication to pediatric neurology continued, and in 2021 she earned her Fellowship from the International Board of Functional Neurology in Childhood Neurodevelopment (FIBFN-CND). She is also certified in the Melillo Method, which focuses on correcting primitive reflexes, balancing the brain hemispheres, and restoring balance within the autonomic nervous system.
Most recently, in 2023, Dr. Paola began training in the Gravity Reset Method (GRM), an innovative approach to helping individuals with dystonias, vertigo, and anxiety. This work has expanded her ability to support patients with both neurological and physical challenges by retraining how the brain and body communicate.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Paola is passionate about whole-person health. She integrates nutritional coaching, lifestyle education, and positive self-development into her patient care. Her mission is to empower both children and adults to reach their fullest potential in brain and body health. She also enjoys sharing her knowledge through podcasts, workshops, and lectures, making complex neurological and health concepts understandable and practical for everyday life.
At the heart of her work is a genuine passion for helping people. Whether it is a child struggling with developmental milestones, an adult recovering from a concussion, or someone seeking greater mental clarity and resilience, Dr. Paola combines compassion, experience, and cutting-edge science to guide her patients toward lasting health and well-being.
